They are the industry leaders in the development and application of condition-based maintenance programs for electricity utilities, industrial high-voltage power users and service companies. TJ|H₂b Analytical Services, Ltd provides testing, consulting and other analytical services through a worldwide network of laboratories. Through its UK based laboratory in Capenhurst, Chester it services client in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Announcement

Nynas AB, the world-leading Swedish manufacturer of specialty naphthenic oil and asphalt products, has agreed to sell its UK, Polish and Norwegian-based (including Iceland) oil testing and diagnosis businesses to TJ|H₂b Analytical Services Ltd. The transfer will be effective from 14 November 2012.

A TJ|H₂b Non-Executive Director, Professor John Walker, said:

• This is a significant and unique opportunity for us that will help us to expand our current business profitably.
• It has the potential to increase our turnover by 50% resulting in more employment in the Chester and Wirral areas.
• The acquisition of equipment, market share and expertise greatly improves our reach into the oil testing and diagnosis markets in northern and eastern Europe.
• The research and development work we undertake in the field of oil diagnostics in Capenhurst will be greatly enhanced.
• Nynas is a significant world-wide company and our cooperation agreement will benefit both organisations greatly and we all look forward to working with them in future years.
